The Australian Shepherd Club of Nederland included an In Memory of Toby page in their December 2009 issue. Click here to view it.

A New Anticonvulsant has been developed by a major veterinary pharmaceutical company and clinical trials are underway.  Dogs are being recruited that are not on any anticonvulsants at this time. The study is nationwide and selection criteria and study information are listed at www.helpfordogswithseizures.com.   If interested...HURRY! Recruitment closes at the end of the month.

What Dogs are eligible? To qualify, dogs must:

• Be at least 4 months of age
• Have not been previously treated with anti-seizure medication
• Weigh at least 11 pounds
• Have no previous history of seizure clusters or status epilepticus
• Not be pregnant or suspected to be pregnant
